We are thrilled and honoured to have been selected by Lincolnshire Co-op to be their Community Champions for the period of December 2019 – March 2020. Their scheme helps local communities raise funds for charities of all kinds, and they have really been making a difference to lives by doing this. here’s just a few examples of their amazing work:
- Over 50 volunteers helped to run the 3 community libraries used by over 9,000 book borrowers!
- Over 140,000 kg of textiles were recycled through clothing banks set up by them
- Their pop-up Health Pods gave 846 checks to people, which in-turn lead to over 260 GP referrals
- £161,000 was donated to support 3 new life-saving Air Ambulances
They will be raising funds both in-store and by organising their own charity nights and events. For every person that shops in a Lincolnshire Co-op, they will donate to their chosen Community Champion… so get shopping to help your local charities!
