Aleks the Tigers Second Chance
We have embarked on a life-changing mission to rescue Aleks the White Tiger from Ukraine!
Who is Aleks?
Aleks is a beautiful male White Tiger that was rescued from devastating conditions in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. WARC rescued him dehydrated, infested with parasites and exhausted. His skin was badly inflamed and could be seen though bald patches on his back. He couldn’t stand on his hind legs. Aleks’ diagnosis looked bleak, with gastrointestinal issues and poor liver and kidney function. However, through their expertise Aleks was on the road to recovery.
What’s happened to him?
Aleks was evacuated from the war zone and temporarily looked after at WARC. It’s been a 1630 mile journey, but one of the most life-changing journeys for Aleks to bring him peace, health and safe sanctuary at Bengal Gardens.
The team at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park worked tirelessly to reconstruct an area of Bengal Gardens. Aleks now has clean, spacious pens to rest and feel safe in while he is settling.

- Volunteer days – we continue to offer volunteering days to create coporate partnerships and have successfully helped many businesses, colleges and universities fulfill their community assistance. It’s a great way to bring the team together, get out in the fresh air and make a difference to our animals lives.
- The power of social media – A free and simple way to spread the word about our charity’s mission to give Aleks the best life possible. Social media is a powerful message to show your followers that you support your community and wider community. It can be an amazing tool to help generate funds for the animals and Aleks, without it costing you a penny!
- Set yourself a challenge – you can set up a fundraiser and link it to our campaign on JustGiving to help our charity and come together as a workforce.
