Luther the Eurasian Lynx
An unexpected and important rescue mission unravelled to welcome luther to our sanctuary for life-long care.
Who is Luther?
Luther (Lothar) is a stunning young Eurasian Lynx. WARC rescued Luther from a private residence in Ukraine. They could no longer care for him due to the on-going conflict. Luther suffered terrible anxiety and shock from the constant gunfire and explosions. He stopped eating and his health started declining.
Where’s he going to go?
After the incredibly sad loss of our beloved Puma, Nigel we found ourselves in a position to offer a home to another animal that needed it. We contacted the rescue that was looking after Luther and told them of our Animal Holding Enclosure.
The enclosure is purpose-built to house any animal from small mammals to big cats, so a perfect starting point for Luther to come and enjoy a peaceful life with us. Equipped with heated beds, an assortment of terrains and climbing frames, Luther will have his second chance at a fulfilling life.

Why should i help?
We completely understand that helping a charity or even several charities can become costly. However, these animals didn’t ask for or expect to have to live the life they started out with. They cannot speak for themselves, so we have to speak for them and aid their recovery. Helping doesn’t always have to be about the money that you donate, it could be:

- Volunteering to help look after the animals, as a corporate day or at one of our event days.
- Organising a fundraiser to enable other people to choose to help you succeed in a challenge.
