Yes its 10 years to the day that we opened our doors to the public in order for them to see the world of rescued parrots. What a 10 years its been, not always happy and certainly not always easy, we have been attacked by a few small minded individuals we always rose higher and never stooped to their levels, but more than anything we have built up an amazing group of supporters of the charity who visit regular and keep constantly involved in what we do, a quick mention here to Mr Rich Fisher who has raised funds for the charity relentlessly doing some amazing activities…Thanks a million Rich.
What has got to be our most cherished achievement was to add Mr Derren Brown as our patron only a couple of years after opening and he has stuck with us throughout, keeping constantly in touch and involved wherever he can, even with the heavy workload and 1000s of miles he travels he still manages to get here and see the parrots whenever he can. It means a lot to us personally and is also a brilliant feeling for all involved especially his loyal fans who have too become supporters of the Parrot Zoo Trust. Thank you Derren and look forward to the future.
To add to all that, what an amazing birthday present we received this morning, a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor the an accolade which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.
