Brrrrrrr, yes we had a little taste of winter here, no bricks laid today, so instead we diverted our work to another part, which is refitting the sink in the disabled WC, on to another wall, while working in another part of the building i heard a SMASH!!!!, walking round to see how many pieces the sink was in i was a little surprised to find that it hadnt broke, instead it had actually smashed a tile, so the guys were taking the mick a little saying that i had faith :-), it was only 2 hours later before SMASH!!!!! in i popped and Natty was looking up with a big smile on his face not that lucky this time” so a new basin is ordered and the tile can be fitted tomorrow….mmmm strange day, then it started to snow a little worse, as you can see from the pics, very aesthetic but could do without it.
The little conure (Toby) mentioned a couple of days ago is up and about and back to normal, albeit he will be in for the duration of the winter now so will no doubt end up in one of our temporary foster homes, angels that look after our needy birds for us.
Rio the marmoset is brightening up to as you can see from his picture, bouncing about all over his enclosure (slowly)
Finally, the resting Cygnet that recently arrived had a visitor today, his parent, no doubt checking up on him and wondering why he hadnt followed them, they had a good meal together, said goodbye to Simon and off they flew, on their merry way, amazingly too, how the Cygnet seemed so much more brave now he had a parent with him as they swam straight up to me and a massive amount of floating pellets and brown bread, obviously saying thanks…
